Recent Emily Carr grad, Ippiksaut Friesen, stars in Throat Song, a 17-minute short film shot in Iqaluit. It was written and directed by Toronto-based Miranda de Pencier and is being shown at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival as part of Short Cuts Canada which highlights short documentary, animated or narrative films from emerging and established filmmakers across Canada.
